The Matashaw County Series

This lighthearted drama series is set in the 1970s and is based in fictional Matashaw County somewhere in the American Midwest. Private investigator, Max Harold Palmer, darts in and out of trouble—some of it of his own making—while trying to solve the problems of the unusual clients who wander through his door. "I am a magnet for crazies," Max thinks to himself in the first episode, "the pied piper of the weirdo world."

Each story stands alone, but the whole series features Max Palmer and may have repeat visits from other characters.

In "The Fulkerson Fiasco", the first story in the series, Palmer's client is Melissa Cantor, girlfriend to gangland thug Joey Fulkerson. Max discovers that time is not their friend and is forced to get creative as they run for their lives.

Suitable for mid-teens and up, "The Fulkerson Fiasco" is a fast-paced, fun read. Available now for Kindle and Kindle Apps on all platforms.
